TIA to Join Panel for Cloud Computing PoV

10-10-2011

TIA Sales Director, Niels Trzecieski, joined a panel of industry visionaries hosted by Oracle for a discussion on Cloud Computing in the Insurance Industry at the Insurance Technology Congress 2011 in London on Wednesday, 12 October 2011.

While Gartner’s hype cycle does not envision mainstream adaptation of cloud computing in the insurance industry 5 to 10 years from today, TIA Technology - being one of the potential providers of such a cloud based offering - sees cloud as a viable option for insurers long before that (read more about Hype Cycle for Insurance placing cloud computing at the start of the cycle at the "Technology Trigger" stage).

The panel discussed topics such as:

  • “Does cloud computing help the insurance industry?”,
  • “What are the early wins in Insurance Industry for Cloud computing?”, and
  • “Where do we see the industry specific vertical offerings come from and what distinct set of capabilities will these offerings require from the carriers who want to take advantage of them?”.

The Insurance Technology Congress 2011 is a new event that aims to bring together insurance industry practitioners and specialist insurance technology solutions providers to detail the latest developments in the sector and to debate on an independent platform the process and systems reforms for the London market. The two-day event is designed to appeal to the widest cross-section of insurance industry professionals.
